Ronda Rousey is getting ready to make her official in-ring debut for WWE next month at WrestleMania 34, and it's one of the most highly-anticipated parts of this year's "Showcase Of The Immortals."
Rousey, an ex-UFC women's bantamweight champion, has decided to make the career jump to the world of professional wrestling after her reign at the top of the mixed martial arts (MMA) world came to a close.
She made her debut after the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match that was won by Asuka. Rousey hit the ring to confront Asuka, RAW Women's Champion Charlotte Flair, and RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss.
"The Rowdy One" pointed at the WrestleMania 34 sign and indicated her intentions to wrestle at the event.
During her contract signing at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV), WWE began laying the foundation for a feud between Rousey and Stephanie McMahon.
Triple H and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle have been having issues of their own, leading to Angle announcing he will team up with Rousey against Triple H and McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team match.
Now Rousey is set to make her in-ring WWE debut alongside a fellow former Olympian, against two of the biggest executives in WWE. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has reported that Rousey has been training this past week with Sara Amoto, Lacy Evans, and Dakota Kai.
It's also worth noting that Rousey's participation in WrestleMania will bring a ton of mainstream attention to the event as well. There will reportedly be several big media outlets at WrestleMania to cover Rousey's match.
WWE is also planning on shooting three different documentaries while at WrestleMania. One will be focused all on WrestleMania 34 itself. The second will follow The Undertaker's return to the ring when he takes on John Cena. And the third will be following Ronda Rousey's in-ring WWE debut.
There's also a chance that WWE could be filming a Table For 3 episode over the weekend as well. It's undeniable that Rousey's WWE debut will bring a whole different level of media coverage to WrestleMania 34 this year.
